What is a Turing Number?
A Turing number is a randomly generated number contained in an image. This requires the human user to correctly read the Turing number and enter it in the form. This is done to prevent automated attacks because computers have difficulty "reading" the number from the image. You may notice some "noise" in the image (randomly scattered gray dots). This noise further inhibits a computer from scanning the image and extracting the number.
